In your stand mixer blend the other ½ cup of sugar with the butter and melted coconut oil.
To make the cake: In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the butter, cream cheese, salt, sugar, baking powder, vanilla extract, and almond extract, beating until well combined.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a small bowl, place the flour, xanthan gum, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt, and whisk to combine. You can also melt the butter on the stove.
