White confectionery coating can also be called white almond bark or white candy coating. There are many chocolates made today that are made exactly like white chocolate, but without the milk powder. White chocolate is one of those foods, like olives or anchovies, that causes people to take sides.
You either can't stand it, or you'd defend it to the death.
A product containing this type of fat is called white confectionery coating and cannot be called white chocolate.
All of these are white or creamy white, and combined they make for a decidedly white looking chocolate. White chocolate is made from cocoa butter with added milk products, sugar, and flavourings such as vanilla. White chocolate is chocolate, only made with half.
