Is Dark Chocolate Vegan
Is Dark Chocolate Vegan. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as saying, yes, all dark chocolate is vegan. However, certain ingredients added to dark chocolate may not be vegan.
The following chocolate slabs are accidentally plant-based. The good news for all the chocolate-loving vegans is that dark chocolate is naturally vegan, provided that it doesn't have milk or other dairy products. If the dark chocolate contains only cocoa beans, cocoa butter, and a plant-based sugar then yes it can be vegan.
Dark chocolate has a high percentage of cocoa and it is the most vegan-friendly option with a high concentration of antioxidants, low sugar, and a lack of dairy.
All milk and white chocolates (except those specified as 'vegan' or 'dairy-free') are not vegan.
But a lot of chocolate brands still manufacture their products with dairy or use animal fat as a cheap filler substance. However, plant-based doesn't necessarily mean vegan. Dark chocolate, for the most part, is vegan.
